You Don’t Have to Remember What Happened to Heal

One of the biggest myths about healing is that you have to remember what happened. You don’t. Some of our deepest wounds were formed before we had language. Before we could tell a story or make sense of our experiences.

But our bodies, nervous system and our parts remember. That’s why you can sometimes feel fear, shame, loneliness, or panic without knowing why.

Healing isn’t about recovering memories. It’s about listening to what your body and your younger parts are communicating in the present. The present is your point of power.

When we meet those parts with curiosity instead of fear or judgment, something amazing begins to happen. They no longer have to carry those feelings alone because you are there too.

And that’s when healing starts — when your inner child can feel you there, holding them.
